In Colorado Springs' North Academy area, Woods Contracting recently completed a basement renovation from the ground up. The space was previously unfinished—with no framing, little electrical, and a small window that didn’t meet fire code.
Our team brought it to life with a modern, clean, and safe transformation.

This wasn't your typical cosmetic remodel. The basement had no existing walls or layout. We started by:
Designing the space layout
Framing new walls and closet sections
Enlarging the window to meet basement egress code
Installing brand-new electrical with lighting and outlets
Every step followed proper permitting and inspection requirements. We made sure the basement was safe, legal, and comfortable for the family’s use.
For this basement renovation in Colorado Springs, we prioritized both code compliance and comfort. That meant:
Cutting a larger window opening for legal egress (fire safety)
Framing around the new window for a secure fit
Running all new electrical and coordinating inspections
Installing bright overhead lighting
By focusing on structure and function first, we laid the foundation for a comfortable finished space.

Once framed and wired, we finished the room with:
Double-door closet installation
Clean drywall and fresh paint
Custom trim for a polished look
While the flooring was handled by our client which beautifully meshed with the coordinated colors, our work ensured a solid and stylish space from top to bottom.
